Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications at the moment are open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house money will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African click here citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

NSFAS only funds individuals who nsfas check are researching or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
